Hi, I'm April

I live with Ankylosing Spondylitis, Fibromyalgia, migraines, and anxiety. Though I donโ€™t let that define me, Iโ€™m also a lover of Jesus, coffee enthusiast, dog mom, and even a grandma.

I went undiagnosed for many years, feeling like I was crazy. I knew something was wrong, more than โ€œjust being a womanโ€, but felt like no one was really listening to me. I was finally diagnosed at the age of 44 and began to get medical help for my diagnosis. It was a relief to finally feel seen and heard.

I decided to start The Invisible Illness Club, after a nudge from God. I felt that women with chronic illnesses needed a way to come together, encourage each other, and feel seen. I know what it feels like to feel so alone, and no one should have to feel that way.
